Eastern Terrace

17 May 2013

At the top of Mount Nemrut are two terraces on either side of what is assumed to be a royal tomb from the 1st century BC. It can't be excavated due to the huge amount of loose shale piled on top. The terraces contain massive statues who's heads have subsequently been damaged and now sit in-front.
