To date I’ve only managed a short trip to Prague mainly for work, and when I was there the weather wasn’t great. However its definitely somewhere I’d like to explore more.
Although it has a reputation for bachelor parties and boozy weekends, in truth this is confined to a very small area and the old buildings, gothic churches and sculpture on display more than make up for it.
Prague castle (the biggest in the world) looks stunning from over the river when lit up at night, and the famous Charles Bridge contains around 30 baroque statues dating from the 17th century, along its length. Of course no visit to Prague would be complete without seeing the Astronomical clock in the Old Town Square, parts of which date to 1410.

Gateway
The entrance at one end of Charles Bridge. As you can tell by the sky this is one of the days it rained!

St. Vitus Cathedral
On my last night I was cutting through a park when I saw this amazing view of St. Vitus Cathedral in the distance.
